*What a game, absolutely riveting. Pakistan did so well to shoot Australia out for 127 but their batting, apart from Kamran, was abysmal against a very determined attack. Tait was quick, very quick, and his three wickets for 13 runs were incredibly crucial to Australia winning. Nannes was Nannes, Johnson came back after a horror first over, and Watson varied his pace and used those cutters to good effect. Smith, the rookie, struck two big blows on debut. *
Pakistan looks like a team that has forgotten how to win! They looked like winning this match for almost 80% of the match and then threw it away at the last hurdle. Its like sydney all over :)

I dont think Razzaq was fit for this match. But seriously T20 is no place for a player like Khalid Latif.
Unfortunately, team that is playing cricket and representing Pakistan is not Pakistani team, rather this team is a team consisting of players on basis of personal like and dislike, hence it is team of nepotism, and worse is that even amongst these privileged players, they have groups.
When one group plays politics on personal like and dislike at the expense of Pakistan then that group should not expect that others would not play similar politics against them at the expense of Pakistan (possible for even personal grudge against such group).
This is the reason team should be selected entirely on merit ... there should be point system representing performance in domestic cricket (test cricket should get included in point system too once a player gets selected on performance in domestic cricket) ... and selection should be automatic on basis of that point system (no selection on personal like and dislike). Further, if any player is found involved in politics than that player should be out of team, how good a player he may be.

We lost the match due to sheer stupidity of our batsmen.
Nazir run out when he shouldnt have been running for that single which wasnt there
Farhat thought the game hasnt started yet so he thought might as well give the slips catching practise.
Malik was trying to hard to get a single and get off strike. The ball which he got out on should have been dispatched for 4. Thats what happens when you dont play your natural game and look for singles on deliveries which should have been hit to the boundry.
Rana, seriously, 17th over, a maiden? what in the world were you thinking?
Gul, what kind of shot were you attempting?
Kamran, yeah he played really well, no doubt. But this is where common sense comes in. Take Pakistan home idiot! You get dropped on the previous ball and the next ball you hit it straight to the fielder AGAIN! how stupid can you get?
So Pakistan somehow contrived to lose every single international game on this tour, that's 9 games altogether....the ultimate ignominy and disgrace

Yeah Razzaq is injured or he would have been a part of the ODI squad as well.
But it is very unfair to say Latif that doesnt deserve a place in T20. This was only his 2nd T20. Afridi thinks VERY highly of him and the guy has done really well at the domestic level and in ODI's. I have actually seen him bat a while back when geo super used to show the domestic T20 tournaments...and Khalid Latif can be a brutal slogger. His technique leaves a lot to be desired but he has all the shots in the book.
I would pick Latif over Farhat anyday and im sure once Afridi is the full time captain we will see that happen.

Close but not close enough. Apart from Akmal bros no other batsman even tries to do something. This has been the case for the whole series.
Thanks god it's over. Oh well, hope they are ready to receive the love when they arrive back home.

The best thing that happened was that Rana got out. Such a pathetic player.
Atleast his bowling was okay which is specialty... look at our bunch of batsmen, barring Kamran Akmal rest of our 6 batsmen scoring 39 out of which 21 was scored by Umar. Bowling needs to be credited for bowling out Australia for a low score but our pathetic batting again displayed that they can ALWAYS go lower than we expect.

Don't blame bowlers, its the batsmen's job to do batting, we shouldn't expect bowlers to bowl and then win by batting too.

I really respect Iqbal Qasim for resigning. I think thats an honorable thing to do. Lesson should be learned by Ijaz Butt and Mohammad Yousuf, instead of fighting with all their might to stay in their roles after thsi debacle. Really, fire most of these players and replace them. Even Waqar said he will never coach again unless there are wholesome changes in administration and magmt. And he is willing to talk to the Standing committee on sports about what was going on behind the scenes. I think we all deserve to know that too.
Something good should come out of this miserable tour!
A complete U turn..an overhaul..checks and balances, accountability, discipiline, professionalism, merit selection....
