Had a few harsh words to say about WICB and English journalist Mark Nicholas

West Indies captain Darren Sammy: "Firstly I want to thank the almighty. We have a pastor in the team in Andre Fletcher, we keep on praying. Really happy for this win, it's something we'll cherish for a long time. We have a few matchwinners, nobody give us a chance, every game somebody stepped up - good to see Carlos play like that in his debut World Cup. Shows the T20 depth we have in the Caribbean, hopefully we will continue to improve. People were wondering we would plays this tournament, we had issues with the board, Mark Nicholas called us players with no brain. But all of us came together, these 15 men put adversity aside, played this type of cricket in front of such passionate fans. It was tremendous. I want to thank the coaching team, Phil Simmons. We had a new manager in this tournament. Got to give credit to the entire team here. This is for all the fans in the Caribbean. I don't know when I'm going to be playing for West Indies again, I want to thank my team, thanks my coaching staff. This is for the CHAMPIONS!"

People might argue that without Marlon's 85, Brathwaite's 34 would have been useless

but c'mon Carlos was clearly the man of the moment, just did the impossible (quite literally)

One over, 19 runs to get, who is in the driving seat? (fielding side for sure). Carlos literally snatched victory from England/Stokes

(p.s. Carlos took three important wickets as well incl. that of Willey (btw. why do English people have such funny names as Willey and Sidebottom) just when England were threatening to score a few more runs towards the end)

19 runs off of the last over was pretty darn difficult. i believe Marlon could have never hit 4 SIXES in a row!

Stokes was bowling the last over in the same area...you need lot of trick-bowling in the death overs like Umar Gul, Sohail Tanvir or Aizaz Cheema (experience)

Stokes should have at least varied his length, a bouncer (it might have been called a no-ball) or even a wide just to break Brathwaite's rhythm

all 4 deliveries appeared similar to me (full-length) which was meat and drink to Carlos

6 on 3rd delivery was probably most amazing as the ball was too full, under usual circumstances it could 've been hit for 4 at best, but given the adrenaline rush in Bharatwaite the ball just sailed over.

1st and 4th delivery were just 'hit-me', 2nd was I think fuller but 3rd was not too bad of a ball.
