I don’t know how to swim :wave: Actually when I try to swim, it seems like I am drowning because I am moving my arms and legs and I do swim for a few feet :hmmm:

i can swim, i v been learning swimming for a month now. I know two basic styles of swimming now.

Well I swim about a kilometer almost everyday. I have swam up to 1500 meters in 45 minutes. I can swim free style, breatstroke and butterfly but cant swim in back crawl.

OK Lois here goes…me not aahmed…but this should get you started into the right floatation attitude…:slight_smile:

after that is all in the way you stroke with your arms and pedal with your feet…:chupki:

Swimming is similar to learning walking…but we use all four limbs…

your first lesson is to stand close to the side of the pool with some one who can help if you need it.
The water should come just upto your waist…

standing in the water let your arms drop to your sides and move your hands back and forth, letting your fingers feel the water as you move the hands back and forth.

You will feel the force of the water on your hands…faster you push the water backwards with your hands…more your body will move forward.

it is just like when fledgling birds learn to flap their wings they get the feeling of air pressure on their wings.

But do not try flapping your arms in the air…that is TLK’s job…:smiley:

You have your first lesson now…when you finish that and still need to learn to swim…wil tell you the next lesson…:slight_smile:
