I agree. White sweet potatoes are actually nicer. Less sugary and more flavorful.

here's something i do on the grill. cube the sweet potatoes, toss in some salt and olive oil. wrap up in foil into a flat package along with a generous sprig of rosemary. leave it on one corner of your grill while you do the meat. flip once after about 10 mins. take it off the grill in about 15-20 mins, leave aside until everything else is done. open up, sprinkle on some fresh cracked pepper. turns out buttery yet unmashed every single time.

Queer that sounds awesome! Im so trying that tomorrow night with dinner! I found a recipe called sweet potato crunch the other day and tried it, it was an instant hit with the family and more importantly, my own choosy tastebuds. Here it is for anyone else who might be interested. Its very similar to the first recipe I posted but much much better.

Topping:

Directions

Bake sweet potatoes at 350 degrees until tender, approx 45 minutes - 1 hour.

Mash potatoes and remove outer skins.

Combine potatoes and next five ingredients in a mixer.

Spread in baking dish.

For the topping: Mix and spread over potatoes.

Bake at 350 degrees until hot. Serves 6.
