......
As for what i was talking about when I said Allah swt has himself mentioned in the Quran that his books have been changed by the people of that time, here's what i meant:
Quran 2:79
*****Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. *...
Barbie,
We all should ask for forgiveness from Allah swt. Because you are quoting Quran out of context.
2:79 is NOT a standalone ayah, instead it is part of the very core of Sura Baqra
Allah swt from 2:66 to 2:79 is giving us hidaya and teaching us a lesson by describing a group of people who broke the rules of sabbath. They were among the followers of Hazrat Musa pbuh.
Only these law breakers [and not every Jewish person] received Allah swt's wrath (2:66)
These law-breakers were then asked to follow Allah's command and sacrifice a cow.
Then these law-breakers started mocking Hazrat Musa pbuh about the exact specifications of the cow.
Then Allah swt says, even though (after all the mocking) they did sacrifice the cow, but they almost did not (2:69)
Then in 2:73 Allah swt describes those who used to listen to the world of Allah swt and later change it [for political and worldly gains].
Then in 2:74, Allah swt says that these people say we believe when they are among the true believers and later they go back and abuse the divine message [for worldly and political gains].
**
then in 2:77 Allah swt says, Allah swt knows what you hide and what you tell others. [use /abuse Allah swt message out of context by hiding portions of His message]**
2:78 Among those are the ones who do not know [do not use their brains] and believe NOT in the scripture [Torah] form Heresy [other people's interpretation] and guesswork [to suit their hateful and worldly political gains].
And then only then Allah swt say in
2:79 **Therefore **woe be unto those who write the Scripture with their hands and then say, "This is from Allah," that they may purchase a small gain therewith. Woe unto them for that their hands have written, and woe unto them for that they earn thereby.
And guess what Barbie!
You have quoted Quran without context, without siaqo sabaq, and thus you have almost committed the same sin that the people of Musa pbuh were punished for.
Pay attention to the start of 2:79. It starts with "Therefore". It means 2:79 does not stand by itself, but rather joined to the previous ayah.
I hope your heart is not hardened as a rock. Hopefully some may benefit from this post. Hopefully they won't quote Quran Kareem out of context.
Ameen!
