^ This is strange, considering many converts change to a more Islamic sounding name. Muhammad Ali and Kareem Abdul Jabaar to name (no pun intended) a few. Honestly, the source verses and Hadith on nomenclature laws are sort of unrelated to marriage. The Quranic verses on the matter have more to do with cases of adoption not marriage. The Hadith sounds more like an admonishment of lying about your heritage, which is hardly the same as changing your last name.

Changing ur first name and ur family name is two different things. It is true that most convert change their names ex. from Mike to aslam but I havent heard of any who changed their family name.
