Nobody say a bad word against powdered antimony. AKA Surma.
I wear it too but only on certain occassions and yeh theres no doubt that powdered Antimony is found on the Sinnai peninsula in large amounts but it is also available elsewhere too. I belive that the Sinnia variety is very fine though like the way an expert wine taster can know the origin of the grapes, and the expert coffee man knows that Yemeni Mocha and Indonesian flavours are the best coffee same with Surma its a belief that Sinnai Surma is the best.
The story goes that the mountain on Which Moses had his vision was burned at the top and hence from there some of the finest powedered antimony is found. However it is also found throughout Arabia and Asia too.

To an extent yes :)
Although its not limited to Sinai and Powerder Antimony can even be sourced in Italy, Spain and some parts of France. I reckon there probably deposits in Britian too but I probably wouldn't use those as they might have high concentrations of other particles and some could be harmfull.
Arabian sources and especially the Sinai region produce much clearer deposits.
