i love SuperNanny! have you seen the way she walks? and the way she carries her handbag makes her ever so strict! she adorable.

i agree with you though, sometimes it is mainly the parents, but then again there is no manual on how to raise kids so i guess it really is that hard.

Whenever i babysit my cousins/nieces/ nephews, its a classroom environement, we set the rules from the offset, we organise what we'r going to play, what we'r going to eat and when we will tidy up. Kids do need a lot of constructive organisation and structure in their lives. I think the one thing iv learnt about kids which always works, is follow through your actions, kids always remember, if you say you going to do something good or bad, do it.

i'd like to see the unedited version before I form any opinions on the methods she employs.. "Naughty stool"?? "Naughty mat"?? r u kiddin' me?? are these real 3 year olds who'd stay at one place when told to? If that were the case they won't need help in the first place!

PA, its tough at first to get the little one to stay on the mat/chair/stool. You have to put them back on there and explain that they will stay until time is up. Even if they get up 50 times. IF the parents are consistent, after the second or third time they get sent to the naughty place, they know they have to stay and dont bother getting up anymore. It really worked with my almost-3-yr old boy.
