Mandate means, the party got a clear majority in the assembly. That is far from the case. PPP got less than 100 votes in the last elections. They teamed up with Qatil league and MQM to get a majority. Even PML-N joined in the game on the pretext of 'meri behen BB, and mera bhai Zardari'. Now if you are telling me that PML-Q and MQM voters actually voted for PPP, then you are mistaken. Keep in mind, Im not denying PPPs right to form a government based on their coalition. But you cannot tell people that PPP has the mandate of the people, and that PPP is the representative of 18 crore awam. No government ever is.

PPP won 30% seats in the NA....is that a clear majority according to your math? You must be using Zardari's formula book, where 0 is 10.
NWFP, they had about 25%.
Baluchistan, they had less than 20%.
Sindh was the only province where they had a clear majority, with about 55% (With so many waderas, that is not a surprise)
Punjab, they had about 29%.(They are trying to change that by splitting up the province, not for administrative, but personal reasons)
Rest of the seat deficiencies were made up with help of alleged murderers of Benazir and MQM and Maulana sahib. Simple math and facts. Just yapping away by saying* PPP had majority* will not change the facts. The above numbers are from the ECP.
Folks like you can use this thread to bash PTI and have fun, since the party has already caused a major shakeup in the national vote scene. PPP has historically has nothing better to do.

Then stop claiming that PPP has the 'people's mandate'. PPP has partnered with Benazir's alleged murderers to gain enough seats to form a government? Yes. PPP has people's mandate? No. Understand the difference.
And Pasha sahib, PTI has stood in 2 elections so far, and has not won anything worthwhile. No secret about that. 2008 elections were a sham, where Musharraf gave a clean chit to Benazir and Zardari in return for his presidency, and PTI did not participate. Now PTI will participate in the next elections, and we shall wait for whatever the results come out to be. Mudslinging and brainless allegations are something we have been hearing from PPP and PML-N ever since PTI movement gained steam, so its nothing new. This thread is a nice playground for PTI bashers, so play on.

may be you are right, just like PPP has not been able to achieve anything in its past 2 tenures and this one, just like PML-N's tenures atleast we will able to see what 'change' can bring. I have doubts that without change of nation itself we won't get any better rulers.

That is not the valid reason. IK has made many u-turns. This one is latest. How some one trust him when he promised something, never fulfilled his promise? He is not even in power but kept on forgetting what he said ealier.

Imran Khan needs to follow up on his/PTI statements otherwise PTI will turn in to PPP/PML-N by making false promises, u-turns.

Since PTI has never been in power, it's performance cant be compared with govts of PPP, PML-N or even that of the army. However, sadly PTI is now the only hope left for Pakistan.
Should corrupt mafias of PPP, PML-N along with their terrorist partners TTP, MQM were to come back in power, then we oughta work in disbanding this nation by cutting it in pieces. The uneducated awaam that vote for these crooks and terrorists will deserve what is coming to them.

You are justifying these u-turns with PPP's not fulfilling the promises. itnay lambay bhashan dene ki koi zaroorat nahin hay. My question is still the same why people trust IK what he said earlier never fulfilled his promises and always made u-turns? What is the the guarantee that he will not do the same thing when in power? Why people give votes to these super permanent lotay discarded from parent parties you abhor them?
