This guy was killed on the toll booth that is at golra mor chowk, which is near the motor way entrance, and being a student at EME, I used to pass this toll way every day. Now the thing that surprises me the most is that there is so much police in that toll booth (because of it leading way to peshawar), and yet a shoot out of this scale took place when his car stopped on the toll plaza. We students used to be stopped over this toll plaza by the police every day and cars searched for security reasons, like all other cars, and I cannot imagine how the shootout could take place at such a secure site.
It reminds me of a famous scene in the movie 'The Godfather' when mafia leader Sunny Corleone goes out and his body guards are left behind and when he arrives at the toll plaza, he is shot down.
This is a indeed a shame, such a secure site could be used for killing people (whoever they are) and a shame for General Musharraf and his government and exposes the bare law and order crisis in our country.
Those that are happy about his death, they should know that this sort of shootouts in our country are never good. If you get rid of people like this, the other side will only kill more.
