^ shias and sunnies co-exist in other parts of the world, without all this violence. even in Pakistan, where after the Zia induced Islamism sectarian violence has spiked, the death toll in decades is less than that of one month in Iraq.
Lebanon, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, India, Egypt, some Central Asian states, Afghanistan, are all countries where significant populations of shias and sunnies live, nothing remotely comparable to whats going on in Iraq.

so, Mooli is correct in saying that the poor people crushed in all this are honoured with occupations and bombings and counter bombings because their soil happens to be on top of a lot of oil, and in absence of that oil would probably be left alone?
My sources tell me there were many men who had Star of David tatoos on their selfs seens around the area an hour or two before the bombing. Although its too early to objectively conclude the involvement of mossad, I wouldn't be surprised considering past attacks like 9/11, 7/11, madrid bombings etc. which all clearly had a jewish hand in it.

The pre oil period had lots of disspiated tribal chiefs ruling over little terrirtories across the globe. The advent of the modern nation state as the dominant form of government happens to coincide with this same period. So in order for nation states to be formed in the middle east, are you saying they wouldn't need oppressive central governments to keep all the tribal chiefs at bay if it weren't for oil?
nope. no real way of saying what would happen without the oil in the mix. unless there is something inherently flawed about arabs, no real reason to suppose they wouldnt come up with nation states the same way other places that used to have dissipated tribal chiefs have.
