Yes. And more. It is more to do with economics than foreign policy. Call me a conspiracy theorist but at least I do not conveniently ignore those who influence the policy decisions in USA. Keynesian economists publically call for greater spending on wars as a means of lubricating US economy, creating jobs and most importantly benefiting the corporations (defense/construction/energy sectors) who are primary source of funds for politicians.
It is not the best way to increase government spending, but who cares. Not in best interest of American citizens either.

Funding is definite. From where are they getting money to buy all the ammunition and bombs, where that money is coming from. Yes I know, people can say that they grow and sell opium but you cant do that when you are on a run from law and trying to hide in caves or be discreet. You have to be at the same place for months and months to grow, harvest, cultivate and what not, the crop

i have heard many groups with many accusations and i am sure some corrupt muslims are doing bad things. I have question for you, have you also heard of blackwater/xe or how about dynacorp what they doing in pakistan are they making barfee for zardari or maybe gulabjam?
Point is this is same pattern that happened in Iraq, bombs in shia mosque then bombs in sunni mosques and same culprit is there at the scene US military so they are innocent of all charges i don't think so.

As long as the War in Afghanistan and operations in Waziristan continue this is going to go on for a long time. Tricky part is when will it end, if ever.
