A Pakistani feudal village lord or zamindar, Chaudhry Hashmat (Mehboob Alam), with his son (Munawwar Saeed) and two nephews, struggle to keep hold on his power and land which is under threat of compulsory purchase for a new dam. The two nephews are continually at loggerheads: Chaudhry Anwer (Firdaus Jamal) is afflicted with greed and lust; his brother Chaudhry Niaz Ali wishes to escape to the big city, Lahore, but is trapped in the feudal web.
I remember muqa telling me he fast forward the drama didn't watch the whole thing.It's a punjabi drama and story looks boring.There is a punjabi rap song in it :)

lols. Its not a Punjabi drama. Its based on feudalism in Punjab (back in late 70s). Very much relevant even today, as there is n change as such I’ve watched it (not complete). It has some good performances and superb direction. Much much better than today’s crap and worth watching.

On a serious note, watch ‘Namak Paare - Latest sitcom on Hum TV’, ‘Nadaniyan’, ‘Family Front’, Teen batta teen’.. If you have no watched these already.

Waris 'written by Amjad Islam Amjad' had a big cast including Abid Ali, Shujaat Hashmi, Firdous Jamal, Munawwar Saeed, Uzma Gilani, Tahira Naqvi, Aurangzeb Leghari, Meboob Alam and many more.
It wasn't an ordinary play at all.
