Sufis promoted love more than anything. If they came up with some ashaar that looks vulgar today, that doesn’t mean they promoted vulgarity. They and there work got respect. Sufis like Baba farid got place in religious books like Garanth, which is now followed by millions and you might know vulgarity is not followed by millions in the name of religion
