Sudden or slow death

Re: Sudden or slow death

Yes exactly. But premature sudden death is really tragic for the kins and kith of the deceased. For the last 3 years I have been looking after an elderly person here who is suffering from acute arthritis which has limited to his movement - he used to lay in his bed except for toilet needs and could only walk up to the toiled in about 10-15 minutes for a distance of only 4-5 yards with the help of the hand rails fixed to the walls. But now even it had been an uphill task for him and he had been falling quite frequently. The carer used to come 3 times a day and from evening till morning I was with him. He fell down very badly early February and was taken to hospital and from there had been moved to a nursing home. He is 76 years of age.

I visit him in the nursing home and I can not describe the poor conditions and the atmosphere of the elderly suffering people over there.

My father had arthritis too but that was not so severe and he was pretty much doing his things himself. He had a heart attach in 2009. Doctors told us he had acute blockage and that they could do nothing about this. A year later 2nd heart talk took his life. So he did not bother us much in his last year of life!

I would definitely like to die suddenly.
