I dont think I was that blunt, but I did use the phrase “careless” when mentioning the incident that took place. Other than that, I actually only referred to the incident in one line and the rest of the paragraph in the email was about how I think it puts people on the spot, and that I definitely disagree going to other MSA’s about it, because it doesn’t do good for our image.
I also gave the classic “I dont mean to sound rude”…but I guess that always translates to “I am damn well being rude” in people’s minds.
This girl is really overreacting I think though. I just got an email from her saying that its people like me that are responsible for the Ummah’s plight.
I’m kinda hurt, because she keeps throwing these emails at me that are really aggresive and in each reply, I’m trying to calm her down and let her know that its not the incident that I was criticizing but rather the approach to it (which was something that shouldn’t offend her in the first place, because it wasn’t her idea!)
Ah well, I just wrote her back telling her I’m disappointed in the way things are turning out and that I’ll just leave her to think the way she does about the situation.
