Students..

Re: Students..

so it seems like so far its only me that that likes to dress up and do my hair and makeup for uni.

I love it and it takes like 15 mins not like 2 hours as people are suggesting.

Re: Students..

For college and uni I dressed down but wore makeup every day.. v.tame by Essex standards tho :D

Re: Students..

im going to justify myself by saying I have to go to hosp everyday so have to dress up. psht!

Re: Students..

Did you wear shalwar kameez? :D

Re: Students..

Looks like you haven't had any professors with pony tails and big beard / moustache yet that has coffee stuck to it while they drink and give lectures in shorts and a tee.

Re: Students..

what do you do with your hair? and what kinda makeup?

It might take just 15-30 minutes for me but I'd rather have as much sleep as I can get :D

Re: Students..

Since i sleep so little during uni, i do make up everyday but only enough to make me look healthy (concealer, blush and lipstain)
i don’t do anything special with my hair but i alternate (either down or half up or a pony tail or a high bun)

my fellow students dress really formal, even 1st years think they have to wear a suit and high heels to become good lawyers, i personally find that ridiculous and i’ll only dress up for my oral exams

besides since i found these i’m in love :

they make you feel like you’re walking on clouds

Re: Students..

Most I've ever done in my entire uni life, to date is maybe put on some shimmer eye shadow. Tried to keep it very understated. If I was up for it, I would straighten my hair and pin what flies in my face away. Otherwise it's tied hair to hide the bad hair day(s). I know I should be dressing up but ugh I can't be bothered. I just do eyeliner, mascara, some silly tshirt and jeans and labcoat and away we go.

Re: Students..

Was and always will be a girly girl so I always put my clothes out the night before. Makeup was just eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss but now it’s a bit of concealer, blush and the usual mascara or eyeliner + mascara.

As for my hair, I have curly hair so I always use curl products to define the curls and make it look great, if I had the time or was in the mood I’d straighten it the night before or in the morning.

And for types of clothes, always jeans and a top. I’m not a skirt person. I love mini dresses as well paired with jeans or tights. Shoes were always flats (I NEVER wear sneakers or joggers. shudders) or heels (I’m referring to Uni/college. NOT High school). Also, I notice if you carry a handbag or a tote for a book bag, it helps you pull the look together. I haven’t worn a school bag since grade 9 and I think that was my motivation. :hypo:

Re: Students..

At school i looked presentable..little bit of kajal and hair tied back. At college started adding a bit of eyeliner and touch of mascara and vaseline LOL..and dressed in jeans and T-shirts with flats. In second year of college i started making MUCH more effort in how i looked because i felt confident. Started wearing girly dresses with jeans/leggings. And now when i go uni sometimes i can go bare faced - not a problem although i'll put like mascara on but majority of the time i'll actually do my make-up. I wouldn't say make an effort because it's effortless really..pulling out a nice outfit from the wardrobe...before i used to sort my hair out - sometimes straighten it..sometimes just leave it curly but now i wear a hijab. and then i do my make up which is usually eyeliner, blusher, mascara and a touch of either lipstick to give my lips a hint of colour or tinted vaseline. It takes me roughly about 20 minutes. I don't eat breakfast so it's not really a problem for me to get out of bed..although on deadline days - i would just go in hoodie/jeans/hair pulled back..roll into uni and hand whatever piece of coursework..go home..KNOCK OUT ON THE NEAREST FLAT SURFACE! LOL..now I'm not living out for uni and I'm commuting so i'll most probably do my make-up on the train?

Re: Students..

I am like this!

But i also wear mineral foundation or a a light coat of natural foundation.

Ok so someone asked me what i wear.

I wear lots of high waisted pencil skirts and shirts, lots of flowy skirts and cute little tops, hmmm dresses usually nice shift dresses. Alll with tights/leggings and with little kitten heels or little wedges. I tend to wear very bright colours like reds and blues and purples many find this a bit eccentric for hospital but i dont care!

I dont wear trousers as hardly any fit me - huge different between waist and hips makes it difficult also I am super girly. Dont own sneakers/joggers/trainers. dont own any sweat pants, dont own any hoodies unless for the gym of course.

Re: Students..

^^I LOVE your recent buys! I have been on a makeup "kick" so that's where all my money was being spent but once I lose the last few pounds I' gonna make sure I spend it only on clothes. And I love the first wedges. I'm not a fan of kitten heels because I'd rather go flat or all the way to at least 3"+ heels. I don't do in-betweens. :D
