ahhhhhh,,,,
i dont understand this completely but in general in almost every human being overall muscles does weigh more than fat. if a person got 20% of body fat and he weighs 100Kg that mean 80Kg is muscle and rest is fat
BUT...
a kg of muscle is equal to a kg of fat (even inside the body) 1kg of led=1kg of rye.
Re: STUCK
before starting your whole workout routine did you took your measurements. mainly waist(at full stretch), hips and thighs (the areas where most fat is stored). again 10 days is too soon to tell whether someone is plateaued or not..
Re: STUCK

at the same weight for 10 days.
I am doing cardio fro 45 min. I am doing intervals. i am stregth training 2 X week. Cheating a bit on my diet but for the most not really. HELP.
I need to make the numbers go down... help please...
10 days is not enough time in my opinion. For any diet or routine to start showing results it takes at least 3 weeks. If you're young, two days, lol. If you're older, 3 weeks. Yes, age makes a difference. :( A slower metabolism is to blame for that. There are of course exceptions to this rule...some people shed weight miraculously...like its no problem at any age. But the general rule is, with age your metabolism slows down.
You've plateaued. Your body is in a routine and is expecting the aforementioned exercises that are doing.
=> Change your exercise regimen....increasing the intensity as well. E.g: if you're running for 45 mins, make it 1 hour or more. Make sure it's a mix of cardio and not just one type.
=> Incorporate more strength training.....you may need to increase the weight you're lifting.
=> Slightly alter your eating patterns and times - try 6 small meals rather than the traditional 3. Try adding more protein to your diet.
^ This is very much a possibility. I guess your body has stopped working hard and has gotten very comfortable with the current routine.
WHAT? I can't run for 1 hour. 30 minutes running, 30 minute on the bike. But I don't burn that much calories on a bike. I don't even feel like a workout.
Same amount of reps? same sets? Or less?
Do those protein shakes work or powder thingy work? Should I be replacing calories with protein or just adding protein to my diet.
Adddd the protein njgal! Fish is the best!

The HIIT is a good idea...most spinning and cardio classes are conducted that way too.
njgal, I know you want to see results because you're working so hard but you have to be patient. Some people find it harddddd to lose weight after pregnancies. So, my advice is...do not get distracted by the scale. Put it away for now. I want you to keep working towards your goal but do not even think about checking your weight until you've given yourself at least a month on your current regimen.
One month minimum.

I eat a lot of subzi - besides brocolli and asparagus. How many servings of vegetables do you need in a day?

Thanks for words of encourgament and wisdom Reha . I have lost 9 and since beach season is around the corner I would love to lose another 7-9.
I took maroush's advice and ditched the running yesterday and did the stationary bike. (which I thought was wussy before). I had a crazy sweaty workout. I almost died.
So I'll switch it up a notch and hope that the scale budges.
I can't do without my scale. I am a numbers gal and it motivates me to work out harder
