Re: stretch marks

^^^^have you ever seen their tummies in person????it's all camouflaged.................

Re: stretch marks

This is f’ed up!! but funny. But the sad truth is some men would say things like that. shame on them.

Re: stretch marks

THere is this product in the market, its called Skin Stockings.

Basically its like a spray that can be sprayed anywhere on your body, it be legs or arms and tummy.

The spray is a lighter version of a foundation and it helps cover flaws.

Re: stretch marks

interesting stuff... thanks for insights! :)

i dont think ive gained all that much weight.. but ive still got 3 months to go so who knows...

FP, u dont to imply anything... if ur really that worried about her stretchmarks... or will be, u can always offer to give her a body massage and rub creams on her...

Re: stretch marks

Sadz/Amana...
I am learning the sad truth about stretch marks....I think it also depends on how much weight you gain and how quickly. In the first 5 1/2 month sof my pregnancy I barely had any stretch marks or anything...suddenly in my 6th month I grew really rapidly...so I dunno if that's why I have developed stretch marks, as well as little marks that look like a burn but its not a burn...cant figure it out :(
My mom and khala have NO stretch marks. My khala had 8 kids and Ammi had 3. My mom tells me that no matter what do not scratch stomach with nails when it itches, just rub them with hand or tips of fingers gently. If not then apply lotion to make itching go away. Maybe there is truth to that because I can not control itching and end up scratching with my nails :(

Re: stretch marks

^ yeah ive just recently developed stretch marks and im just a week from starting my 8th month... its wierd!

my bhabhi said she got quite a few too, i dont know whether they've gotten better or not (its only been 3 weeks since she's given birth though!)

i guess the best thing to do is not stress so much... if hubby is cool with it then it shouldnt depress us either.. yeah? all we can do is try our best :)

Re: stretch marks

So what abt stretch makrs before pregnancy? Or is there no hope for that :hoonh:

Re: stretch marks

Congrats sadz on becoming a phupho :hugz: is it a niece or a nephew?

Re: stretch marks

Sara, u can try products like Bio Oil.. or even Palmers Cocoa Butter (Even though it has a pic of a pregnant woman on it it should be ok...) ive been using it from like my 2nd or 3rd month.. and i totally love it... i think its helped my previous scars.. actually im most definately sure it has..

Lusi.. its a beautiful neice... she's just an angel Mashallah

Re: stretch marks

Exactly. I mean its good to take care of yourself and have as little marks as possible but, i think there’s less pressure for us to eliminate such marks coz we don’t prance around in bikinis and short shorts :clown:

Sadz, i use cocoa butter formula cream for my hands and elbow..but so far no major difference..lol i dont care if its for pregnant women..so it helps as a preventive measure?

Re: stretch marks

I like my strech marks, I have 2 .. reminds me that my baby used to be there.

Well and who will see it other than you and your hubby :innocent:

Re: stretch marks

Sadz,
Off topic but how did you calculate at what month you are at. I was initially counting every 4 weeks as a month...and that's not right cuz months are either 31 or 30 days. Now I am just going by weeks. I think we're around the same period...im in my 30th week and 31st starts tomorrow. (Approximately of course). I dont mind stretch marks but trying to figure out what to do about the burn like marks I developed :( :(

Re: stretch marks

^Those burn like stretch marks will also fade. Just put cream on them and try not to scratch them. They are developing because you are at the point where you are growing the fastest.

FP
Sad but true. Those first two quotes are from my own darling husband after the birth of our first child. I've forgiven them, but 14 years on, I still remember :o
