Stranded Marines fight to last bullets

:hehe:

And you base this on your years of experience training with marine snipers, no doubt?

It is amazing to see the Americans calling the Iraqis cowards and complaining that they hide behind women and children. When have being women and children stopped americans from killing them. And arent they forgetting who has the tanks, armoured vehicles, helicopters and jets. And good to know that the Republican zombies on this forum at least have their sense of hypocrisy intact.

No need, just read what the British military says about them. ;)

I don't know about the marine corps, but the US Army Airborne Rangers are also supposed to rank amongst the elite of the US armed forces.

About 5 years ago, my brother, at the time a reservist in the British Armed forces, had 2 Rangers training as part of his platoon on an exercise. The British reservists were utterly appalled at the lack of professionalism and ability shown by the 2 rangers. One of them was on patrol with the safety catch on his assault rifle off. Though a breach of the rules, this alone wouldn't have been a problem, except the clutz tripped over, loosing off an entire 30 round clip (fortunately blanks) as he landed, and alerting the opposing side to the location of the platoon.

The second Ranger, a NCO, was not much better. He failed to spot a trip wire that the British reservists had stepped over, triggering a flare trap that fired a phosphorous beacon several meters into the air, again giving away the squad's location.

^ that is why America is America and britain is a thirdworld country with little or no water pressure.

That's my point exactly. These two bit iraqi thugs can't beat the marines. They should just give up now, before more of them are killed in the thousands. American training and equipment is superior to the terrorist forces. Always has been. Their jihadi fanaticism won't save them.

The US marines are seen as very well trained troops and i can account for that because when i was in the T.A. in england, Terrortorial Army: Our CEO told us of thier amazing skills and i even got to see it first hand. However all i can say is that most of the british soldiers around me: Fighting men/ not officers told me that U.S. soldiers espically marines are frought with reservists who lack the dicipline that is deemed to lie in professional (Carrear) Soldiers and due to that coupled with thier total lack of respect for thier enemy (Pompus) they sometimes crumble when faced with a greatly superior attack, as seen in Vietnam and in the Gulf War attack on the marine unit killing 5 and injuring 15 marines.

There is no doubt that they have amazing weaponry, training and equipment like for example one marine carrys with him 700 rounds of ammunition for his Ar-15 = Assualt Rifle, 5 Flash bangs, 3 phosperous grenades (White Smoke), 3 Fragmentation Grenades, and a colt 1177 or breatta pistol with 3 spare clips of 9mm or 45 ammunition.

This coupled with thier superior tactics, training and equipment should make them super warriors, but sometimes even the best soldier can sucum under great odds... But as we all know, US troops aint all that great. And although i hate to say this "Hats- off to the rabble of terrorists who managed to pull this off" this should be a lesson to the US troops, never underestimate your enemy and never disrespect him/her (Sun-Tzu)- Art of War. As british Royal Marines Commandoes found to thier peril, when 5 of them were killed thier jeep ransaced and thier bodies paraed live on al-jazera tv.
