Story of PAKISTAN

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

during the past 3000 years how many rulers have united India?

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

i think some muslims were active in congress but majority of Muslim leaders did not trust the Hindu predominance and most of the Muslims remained reluctant to join the Congress Party.

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

I think the credit of making Muslims of India to demand a separate country goes to policies of Congress than Muslim league :)

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

i agree congress was thinking about hindus, this made muslims realize tht they cant live them. n then jinnah made all muslim league.

so lets discuss the founders of all muslim leagues, of course it was jinnah n who else was there with him

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

Muslim League was made when Mr Jinah was in Congress. He joined it later. You are right that people started realising Congress's Anti-Muslim attitude from time to time, but we can't ignore the fact that Congress had many big Muslim leaders till end.

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

Unfortunately, He did not get time to make it right.

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

Lets assume, none, but it still it doesn't take out the concept of bharatvarsh from the hindu intelligensia which always meant from hindukush to Kishkindha:)

During simla conference Jinnah claimed Muslim League is sole representative of muslims, and had no reply of Maulana Azad's cabinet mission plan and Congress representative included people from all religion while jinnah appointed Jadunath Sarkar as a leader of Muslim league:)

that is what is best thing about muslims always were, they hardly beleived in secularism, but suspected hindu's nationalism, India is secular country because it is hindu majority, minorities like sikhs and muslims can never give secular socialist democratic republic:)

What policies precisely, Muslim league was always party of elite, it was always supported by Landlords but poor class muslims always supported Congress, Jinnah wasn't even able to form government in KP because of Khan Brother's congress favouring Khudai Khidmatgars:)

Congress always wanted united India, they even gave finance department to Liaqat Ali Khan, one cannot have a peon in another ministry without permission of finance minstry, if possible, people here can read "India wins freedom" by maulana abul kalam azad

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

so who came up wth the idea of muslim league?

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

Sir Agha Khan III suggested the name All India Muslim League and it was made by people associated with AligaRh University. The main reason was division of Bengal in 1905.

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

When we say that Pakistan was created for the muslims of the subcontinent, did it also include muslims of South India ? How was the support for formation of pakistan from muslims of the south like Hyderabad, Mysore, Kerala, Tamil Nadu ? Were there migrants from this region ? If so what % of migrant population. I know that Kerala with its huge muslim population still has a muslim League but I am not sure if it the offshoot of the pre-independent muslim League.

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

Migration was not the part of Pakistan's demand. Pakistan was name of majority Muslim areas.

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

But many people believe that accepting Pakistan in the shape ( as it was in 1947) was a compromise. :hmmm:

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

yes, it was compromise. pakistan might be bigger than the one we got back in 1947.

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

The question not of big... It should have been strong geographically and theologically.

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

leave the question of compromise, did we handle what we got? no, we actually broke it (linguistically)

Re: Story of PAKISTAN

Awesome thread :k:

Re: Story of PAKISTAN
