...Storage Method...

Re: ...Storage Method...

Use the titanium flash drives. I tested the 1 gb one by throwing it against concrete and then driving over it and it still survived. Since then i bought a 2 gb one which includes the U3 technology.

Re: ...Storage Method...

One of my flash drive has the U3 technology, what exactly is it and how is it useful?

Re: ...Storage Method...

Well, with U3 whenever u plug ur drive into a PC it starts up its own UI (so to speak), u can have applications (compatible) installed in there, like antivirus etc, and browsers (firefox) so you are not using whatever is installed on that particular PC. You can also use it to clean out infected PC's.

Anyhow, what u can do is have encrypted sections of the drive setup for password protected data.

Re: ...Storage Method...

you can lose them or they can become currupt ...
i have experienced both these myself...

Re: ...Storage Method...

^ If they get corrupt or you are unable to open them for some reason, can you still somehow retract the data?

Re: …Storage Method…

^ yes, there are sometips and tricks available online, which may or may not work for you OR they may work partially (speaking from personal experience). The thing that matters is how far you want to protect your critical data. There are somethings (old pics, term papers, old emails) that ppl can’t afford to lose, so for that part of your data, online backups are worth the money. Everything else (mp3s, software + addons  etc. ) can go on external media such as external hard drive, CDs, DVDs, or flash drives.

Re: …Storage Method…

hmmmm…the geek squad also said they can do something to recover it :hmmm:
