The US also provides the majority of the armed forces used by the UN, and the majority of the economic clout used by the UN, and the majority of the intelligence used by the UN.

It's simply good strategy to control an organization that is respected (God knows why) by most of the world.

Stop crying about it. If you want another country to have that influence, give them the money and brains that has made the US the only superpower.
