my daughter is only 2 years and 2 months, Mashallah
she loves puzzles and games but takes them very seriously.
Last week I couldnt find any of her regular puzzles so gave her one that was a bit harder as it was an alphabet puzzle and the images on these puzzles were even difficult for me to understand..
khair the hubz and i went through with taking the shapes out and putting them in maximum 3 times with her…
on saturday, whilst we had people over, i saw her putting all the pieces back.. i didnt help her out at all, and watched her put 25 pieces (the one for M was missing) back in to the right spots.
I was really amazed and asked my husband to get her to put them in all over again lastnight.. and she did. My hubz was very awestuck,.. as a doting father would be..
i know she doesnt relate the images with the letters.. cus for her shoes are shoes and not W for Wellingtons. I thought they were gumboots :halo:
but her memory is very good.. Mashallah
now, question is… i want to get her more learning stuff, but nothing toooo hard so that she gets frustrated.. but enough to stimulate her mind.
I know that she has a very good memory… how do stimulate more so she actually relates it back to the letters?
she watches ABCD Dora and knows all the animals matching the letters.. but again, this is just memory work and not relating it to the letter… does that make sense?
Masha Allah. If her memory is good then you can use audio and video things too. So her memory skill will increas by listening and watching too.
Buy her stuffs that she could handle and sometimes a year or 2 more than of her age. Kids are too genius they learn very fast. By letters and numbers and reader’s rabbits cds if you let her use computer.
