no, you don’t. and i doubt the hall would make that change, anyway, or have a badly constructed stage set up. they’d have been sued a long time ago if someone had fallen and/or if the stage had collapsed.
OP, you’ll be fine! just let your decorators know so they can cover all of the stage, including the rise, with appropriate fabric, etc.
