So if they all are highly educated the question is why did they come to USA in the first place and secondly why haven’t majority of them gone back or are you saying that those Indians who are now living in USA are only cabdrivers/shopkeepers. You are in USA aren’t you? maybe we should exchange our cab features sometimes. BTW the number of Indian/Pakistani cab drivers who are mayors member of Parliament, local councillors, house of Lords members and even cabinet ministers far exceeds the number in USA, if they have any. Or maybe the USA Indians are too highly educated for serving in such menial jobs.

A lot of these people came to the US because there were not opportunities in the technology/banking/consulting jobs in India as recently as 10-15 yrs ago. Things have changed now, and US is not as attractive from a purely career perspective.
