Re: Spending a day in Central London..
well trafalgar square isn't that great unless you want to spend some serious time clubbing, and anyway there are many good restaurants in central london, if you really want to spend a lot of time sightseeing then stop worrying about the food anyfast food will do, but anyway if you don't care about the pizza hut's and the kfc's of the world then gay lord is a nice desi restaurant, or you can go to al-dar a lebanese cafe in chelsea n edgware road both or you can try maaroush ( i personally don't like lebanese food though), and try and contact a bus tour company, i think thats the most effective way of seeing a lot of places in one day and the guides are pretty informative and it would save you the trouble of organizaing everything yourself. i am not a huge fan of harrods, bas theek hee hai. anyway if you are not planning to contact a tour company then i'll refommend that you get a tube map, mark all the places you want to go to, calculate the travel time and see how you can fit all that into your schedule before visiting london(you can get the info from the tfl.gov.uk website).
