After cutting and pasting of folders from program files i think you might need to reinstall windows . So just make a backup of all your data , grab some munda from your street who is doing his computer science degree , and tell him to reinstall windows on your system after formating your hard drive . :k:
If you are reinstalling windows, just go and buy at least a 80 GB disk. Its very cheap nowadays. If you dont, you will run into this problem in few months again.
btw i think the churail that bothers u at nite has gotten to my comp now cuz damnn i delete stuff n the capacity moves n i delete more stuff n danggg the capacity comes bk to the earlier figures...like whatttttttttt theeee heck?! arghhhhhh.
i m just gonna get prof help :( hope its not very costly. ouchhhhh!

yar something, somewhere, within this thread, or between what you are trying to do vs what you're reporting, isnt adding up right.
here is my last attempt:
make a folder called "mydocs2" somewhere on drive or partition that has ENOUGH space. (CANNOT be C: drive)
somewhere on your desktop, you will have MY DOCUMENTS folder, right click, PROPERTIES, u will have tabs of TARGET, GENERAL, and SHARING. within TARGET, notice where it says TARGET FOLDER LOCATION.
beneath that, u will have three buttons: RESTORE DEFAULT, MOVE and FIND TARGET.
click MOVE and go to the drive/partition where u created mydocs2 . once highlighted that mydocs2, click OK.
this will start moving "my documents" which usually has a lot of stuff.. only thing i ask is that it cannot be on existing C: drive.

LOL! i am sorry for being such a pain. I did what you just told me to but i m afraid it wudnt make much of a difference as i already had my documents stuff moved to d-drive. Ouch!
But i will shut up now and just have my jeju give my comp a look and most prolly give it a reinstall. thanks for your help....
all of you have been too sweet with yr help, i know how annoying it can be but u guys still kept helping me....thanks alot.
The update: Mar mar ke i have been able to get 950mb of free space. Well its alot better than what i started off with i.e 197mb. But dayumm something is really wrong with my c-drive for sure cuz like i have been saying again n again i dont see anything "extra" saved up there. Argh.

hey man, no problem .. my curiosity is now shifted towards something called page file.. windows keeps this to rapidly access things which it cant keep in memory (ram).
rite click my computer from desktop, properties, advanced, first group of performance: click settings, advanced, in last group called virtual memory, click change, in c drive, click second bullet "SYSTEM MANAGED SIZE" , click SET, press OK 3 times, or somewhere it will ask to reboot. do that..
if that doesnt work, go to that screen again, use the THIRD option of NO PAGING FILE, click SET (otherwise it wont change). BUT at the same time make sure, you setup D Drive with a SYSTEM MANAGED SIZE (and click SET).
....and yes, i agree too that jeeju's reinstall /format/cleaning is a reliable solution.
y dont u just reinstall windows?
:p and while she's at it, y dont we get her to start using linux.. its the best rite?:D
