At 110 for 2 after 22 overs, Windies were well-placed to post a 270+/- total but they then lost wickets in a heap which derailed their innings
I disagree with the MoM. The award should have gone to Imran Tahir who really turned the game in South Africa's favour. After Windies only made 222, South Africans were always favourites to win & hundred from de Villiers or not, SA would have still won the game

Prior IPL experience in Delhi helped a bit - it was my advice to bat second, and that worked for us tonight."

I agree. With cricketing rules and pitches favoring batsmen heavily, taking 4 top and middle order wickets should fetch mom although de Villiers also played very well. When he arrived, all WI needed was couple of more wickets.

A MoM should be rated/voted as who exerts the most influence on the match in general and its outcome in particular...
Even Afridi with 5 wickets couldn't become the MoM...hmmmmmm
