Sorry, I am born to a Pakistani but cannot read Urdu

Re: Sorry, I am born to a Pakistani but cannot read Urdu

Most of this was started by this post.

The man in the video wrote something like 1/0 is = Infinity (Lemniscate sign).

He indeed came down gradually with writing lesser and lesser values to get to zero. But when he wrote zero dividing one he wrote 1/0 as infinity and said so.

Now, he discarded that result knowing that Infinity is not so simple that can be written in such a way. (Please read comments below)

Please pay attention to what I said the bolded part in my quoted post .

Here is why:

1- Infinity is an abstract idea and not something one can define in terms of any measurable quantity.

2- Infinity is like beauty.

Define (-) Beauty and (+) Beauty. ** Its an absurd thought to think Infinity can be defined by using math.**

3- Infinity:

It is not necessarily big.

it is not necessarily huge.

It is not necessarily humungous or enormous..

But it is ENDLESS, BOUNDARY-LESS and CANNOT be MEASURED.

No matter what you bring the calculations by Calculus, all it brings is X approaching towards zero (but not really zero) to try to define Infinity.

It is like:

You ask your boss where is my check for my services?

Boss answers: “It’s in the mail”.

You ain’t got the check my friend.

You have not got the money from street beggar either. And you cannot get that, regardless how much the beggar promises you.

Mathematics is like a beggar here and cannot tell what is the value of Infinity.

I will discuss this equation below.

**“Approaching to zero” concept: (Calculus)

**
All it means that X is getting lowered and lowered and lowered so much that it is getting close to zero.

That can be 0. 0( one million)

  1. 0 X (ten million).
    OR

Making 1/0. 0 X (one million) = One million.

OR

Whatever is closer to zero.

Right?

Now, put this in your equation.

That means, essentially you said Infinity is One million unit.

Even you will agree that’s not true.

Now go even closer to zero as your** lim equations** says.

Make it 1/ One billionth of one. (0. 0 (One billion).

Again, you made Infinity as one billion units higher than the numerator.

Really?

The point I was making is that there is no way Infinity can be measured.

All you can do is to write an equation which will give you freedom to write something that can make you FEEL BETTER that you have somehow defined Infinity in the sense of measuring it, but in reality you have not.

You may get close to Infinity by your understanding, but by definition of Infinity, you cannot find its limit enough, to measure it.

Still skeptical?

**Then provide definition of what is beyond Infinity if you can somehow define to make it DEFINITE!!!

**

Re: Sorry, I am born to a Pakistani but cannot read Urdu

Is diwana the king of the world?

please answer without going off topic.

Diwana broke calculus

Re: Sorry, I am born to a Pakistani but cannot read Urdu

wow  .. you really have the potential to make khichiri out of a living brain :mudhosh:

waisay its a universal problem if you replace pakistani and urdu with any other nationality and its language

Re: Sorry, I am born to a Pakistani but cannot read Urdu

Once upon a time there existed a branch of maths called calculus.

I feel so mentally exhausted looking at this thread!

Diwana questioning the very foundations of mathematics. What’s next.

Re: Sorry, I am born to a Pakistani but cannot read Urdu

Diwana vs. Calculus… should have separate thread… :hmmm:

Re: Sorry, I am born to a Pakistani but cannot read Urdu

**I was waiting for how many would make comment without having any idea what is being discussed.:hehe:
**
Nothing is being said by me as against Calculus. Nothing new was said by me. The topic has many controversies and yet not settled.

I liked PP’s passion but was making him think of reality and not believing something which is still evolving and has no final answer yet.

For those who had their minds blown away I am sincerely sorry.

Watch this video, I said something along the same line.

Oh!

Pay extra attention to last few seconds…you will know what **exactly **I said above.

It’s OK.

By the time I posted, two more posts came as below.

Now, philosophy will tell what are very foundations of mathematics. :khumar:

Re: Sorry, I am born to a Pakistani but cannot read Urdu

In my case, I moved to Canada at the age of 6,but I had already read the Quran and I had learned the basic structure as to how to read urdu.My elder brothers can read and write.I can read urdu, but only to a point, but if I was kidnapped and the kidnapper wrote something in urdu to me,most likely I would die.LOL…I can usually read the urdu textbooks of grade 2,but sadly reading a newspaper can be a mission. It does sadden me that I can hardly read urdu, but inshallah when I take a year off after my undergrad degree I am going to take a crash course to learn urdu.I do not want my kids growing up without knowing how to write or read in urdu.

To Divide by Zero is an internet slang term describing an action that leads to an epic failure or theoretically unlikely disaster, such as an earth-shattering apocalypse or a wormhole in the time-space continuum. The concept of division by zero is also associated with the phrase “OH SHI-,” which represents the response of someone that is cut off mid-sentence as a result of the disaster.
