A bit of additional history.. ........ The youngest province of Pakistan in 1947 was East Bengal/East Pakistan. The youngest in present day Pakistan is Balochistan. ...
Thanks for correction. It was meant to say Sooba Sarhad was the youngest province (of British-India) to join (modern day) Pakistan.
By mentioning this, the intention was to point out the fact that no-one talked about naming Sarhad as Afghania or Pashtunistan when British were around.
The name was made an issue by some socialist, pro-communist Pashtoons much later until after 1947.
Surely the issue was exploited by the Pashtoon leaders of ANP (Wali Khan) and PPP (Aftab Sherpao).
This is what we call, British kay samnay bheegi billy, or upno kay samnay sher when it comes to the name of Sooba Sarhad.
