Re: Some "good" news
The incident highlights how the Taliban's ideological frontiers have changed as Pakistani militants have regrouped and realigned their allegiances, leading to internecine violence throughout the tribal belt.
Personally I believe, labelling every tribal as an extremist Taliban is wrong. Our tribes follow their age old culture and ethics but they have never believed in extremism and violence. Their independent spirit will never allow them to be dominated, however. I believe, if our governments would have negiotiated sincerely with these tribes and asked for their help, they would have become the wall against these rowdy elements infiltrating from across the border.
I don't think Taliban ideology is changing. It is the rise of local tribes against these fanatic elements which is forcing Taliban to mellow down a bit. I am sure they know more about our tribes mentality than our politicians, our army and our ethnically divided people do.
