Bush invaded Iraq to protect his daddy, the senior Bush. One intelligence report (false or not) suggested that Saddam was planning an attack on Senior Bush to kill him in order to avenge the first gulf war.
No matter how naive the above may sound, it seems plausable considering the pea brain of Bush junior.

I have seen two big budget Hollywood films recently
Both these films suggest that George Bush and his cronies bent over backwards to believe that Iraq posessed weapons of mass distruction whereas the CIA tried to advise them to the contrary and avoid the war. Interesting how it took so many years to criticise the Bush administration but the CIA are portrayed as heroes maybe because they still have such power?

It was Saddam Hussein's fault not being upfront with inspection regime. And it was Bush's stupidity that made it worst, the way he went about the war. Instead of surgical strike to remove Saddam, he went on a invasion.
America keep thinking they can do a Japan or a Germany everywhere - they clearly no longer can.
Idiots like Saddam, Gaddaffi and Kim Jong keep thinking they can make America suffer a Vietnam. They clearly cannot either.
Countries in the middle of these two extremes, like Iran, Pakistan should form a more balanced approach and America in turn should as well.
Please since when was pakistan and iran in the middle of the two? Those are the 2 most extreme nations know worldwide! Besides it was inevitable for bush to declare war, if it wasn't lying about WMD it was something else
