Yeah we would be meeting in the city which is filled up with tourists at this time of year. I only wear modest clothes and this is the second time I am meeting this guy so I think our discussions would be limited to what kind of a person we are looking for and what do we want in future to analyze that whether we are compatible ( I am assuming these are all clean talks)

Shop around with him at a mall, even if its window shopping it will reveal a great deal about your personalities and preferences...

I think he is the one who asked for the 'lets call it meeting'. Why not let him worry about where he takes you.. etc.. . Its good to have some plans of your own incase he asks for opinion (that being your city) but ideally he should work things out (just like you are trying on this forum) prior to coming. It would give you hints or two about his personality.

What you do, where you go is not so important if you ask me. What is important is for you to work it out if he is what you want in life. Try to work out what kind of personality he is (I hope he would to the same). Ask him all the questions you have in your mind (there has been a thread about what kind of questions to ask i think ... :) ) and be honest in your replies about the questions he asks.

Life is long really long..... no, i mean really really long, so you better not be wrong on finding the right partner . :)

Go to tourist places or find nice park to sit and talk. The mall shopping idea is good to.

Ignore the sarcasm from some people. Yes, this is Halal.

Perhaps there is some Islamic event at your local Masjid that you could attend. Do some sort of group activity. Get him to hang out with you and your family or friends as well. The key is to not be alone and to ensure that the purpose of the activity is solely to guage compatibility.

Yes- Museum or science center.... they are fun and interactive. Great for dates.

i understand what ur saying but Islam does give u the right to select yr life partner but ofcourse doing that within yr respectable limiits.

i think like in her case, she shud invite him over her place for dinner with family and later they can talk alone in living area or whatever but her family shud be in the house n i guess that shud be acceptable.

yup but unfortunately some people think in Ramadan u cnt watch movies, listen 2 songs or do all these activities which they very willingly do the rest 11 months.

Exactly! For this meeting/date to be appropriate she shud meet up in a place where she has her family around.

apparently .. the dates that come from israel that come in ramadhan .. are classed as haram since they come from israel ..:stuck_out_tongue:

There's nothing wrong if they're dating/meeting on rishta looking. I've been eating those dates....they're delicious(Prophet(SAW) did tijarah wih Jews).

well there is something wrong if they are alone .. i mean .. hundreds of ppl can be there but if no family member is around a third party .. then thas not right ..

well another apparently ...ppl say that two types of food tastes delicious and you cud eat it all year round lol ..aik .. chori ka aur doosra .. haraam ..:p ..j/k :)

Tou aurton ko Unis aur jobs pe family members ko saath le ker jana chahiye? Most women go to work or colleges without mehrams.
