What is this thread about? If you knew that wouldn't receive a serious reply, then why did you open this thread? What do you wish to discuss here, specifically?

Mr Bao, you must have opened the post with above (yr second) statement. Islam does not allow criticism, and as a result of long practice you do not recognize criticism.
You have closed your eyes; it does not mean that others cannot see you.
The rest opinion is not for you”

Imposing the supremacy of a particular religion is more dangerous than the worst known political ideologies.

Bihari, if you are a good Muslim then why don't you preach it by your acts and sayings instead of making this public invitation?

Y’know.. I really thought this thread was for Yahudi :konfused: He’s the one that always says there are better things but refuses to enumerate them…

Karina, not trying to put you on the spot.. but if you have time could you start another thread on Bahai? I’m curious as I don’t know very much about it and apparently neither do many here. It would be appreciated :flower1::flower1:

Judaism. The second best.

samarra.....what i said was that ppl here are in habit of disgracing islam and yet dont provide an alternative to it...........and like i said they will not provide any......if i am wrong then why dont any one give me an alternative..........

^^ but do you want an alternative? or do you want people to give you an alternative just so you can shoot it down?

Spoon - Thanks for the interest. I don't want to start a thread on Bahai because I am not a qualified preacher for any religion. There's a lot on the web about it, Here's a sample of it's teachings -

History of the B~ai -

  1. Bahai is a syncretistic religion of Persian origin which aims at a unity of all religion into a common peaceful brotherhood giving the right for men to disagree on peripheral truths but unifying all on the great truths of religion with Bahaullah as the Messiah of our age. 2. In the 1800's in Persia, the founder was a merchant Muslim called the Bab 3. All religions have a common origin.

  2. All were equal prophets mirroring God's glory.

  3. He claimed to be the prophet forerunner of the Messiah.

  4. This Messiah was to be the last great Messiah who would establish the world. 7. This Messiah would unify all religions to God. 8. They were persecuted by Muslims.

  5. In 1850, the Bah was murdered by Muslims at the age of 31.

  6. Between 1850 and 1860, 9,000 Bahais were killed by Muslims.

  7. His successor was Bahaullah, who wrote 200 books.

  8. In 1963, he said he was the last great Messiah predicted by the Bab.

Bahá'u'lláh was not an ordinary man. He was a flesh and blood human who claimed to be the Mouthpiece of God for this age. He backed up that claim with a life and a library of teachings which, by any standard, deserve consideration. Like Buddha, He was a noble-man who gave up His wealth and power to teach the Word of God. Like Abraham, He was exiled from His native land. Like Moses, He guided His followers to new understandings for forty years. Like Jesus, He was tortured and imprisoned by the leaders of His time.

Despite His exile and imprisonment, He founded a community which, just over one hundred years after His passing, is established in more countries than Judaism or Islam and is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. Many of His teachings, considered dangerous by the religious and political leaders of nineteenth-century Persia, are now being promoted as essential for global survival by presidents and kings.

If you like you can start a thread, but I will avoid religious confrontations.

Before you ask -no I am not a bahai nor do I intend to become one because Budhism is already conversant with humanistic codes like Bahaism. Bahais are respected immensely in India, and many hindus have converted. There is a gorgeous Bahai temple in Delhi which is one of the touristic landmarks of India.

Peace.:)

OK, this Bao must get an answer. And he will. I cannot point to any religion to be the good one, but among all existing religions Buddha thought is the best.

Reason is very simple. Buddha did not declare any divinity, he did not talk on behalf of God, and he did not bring in any God in his support to crush the opponents.

Most of all Buddhism is the only peaceful religion. Why?
Because Buddhism does not dictate terms and conditions for peace.
Buddhism just believes in non-violence.

At least you have stated something positive regarding a religion.

"i am taking this opertunity to ask my fellow non-muslims to present to me a religion which is better then islam"

What a ridiculous, prevocative statement. What possible criteria could be used to judge which religion is "the best"? Are muslims the biggest, happiest, richest or best off overall? Are they the most "spiritually enlightened"?

I'm waiting...
