MQM will be there even after Altaf, will PTI?
I personally don't think Altaf is going anywhere. Good for nothing Pakistani intelligence agencies are not going to part with the information they have collected over the years. It will be politically damaging for this government and most probably even those that come to power after this administration. Actually Imran filing a case against Altaf in London without much preparation can be a very good opportunity for MQM workers to proclaim: You see, Altaf was never involved in terrorism. Even British justice system has shown that.
If you have read my previous posts on the topic, you should know that I'm not against the political party itself. I'm against the leadership which has blood on their hands and against the tactics they have long employed to push their agenda.
Don’t worry at least in Karachi Altaf bhai has taken the noble responsibility of voting for those citizens of Pakistan who are no longer alive, in jail or overseas…
don't assume all urdu speaking people as dumb and blind followers of the don Altaf, things will certainly change for the better this time inshallah provided Mush and gang are not the ones conducting elections. People have brains and eyes and will make a better choice this time
but mafia in Pakistan is not dead, the drug smuggling may have decreased but its not gone. still recall the heroin and all that was coming in the country from afghanistan back in the day. drugs, weapons, prostitution..remember operation clean up in sohrab goth to finally address the problem. it never went away it just hid further, but I guess it never did get that bad again.
kehkashan and mafia in US is strong as ever, and u dont just have the italian mafia you have the eastern europeans, the asian, and the south and central american gangs working in teh country. just because you dont hear as much about it does not mean its not there.
MQM is nothing at all like Mafia, Mohajirs will always support it. Mafia in America is dead today.
Selwyn Raab the author of Five Families and a preemminent authority on mob does'nt reckon it is dead...in the above mentioned book he details the rackets that were involved in clearing the WTC debris...and how the feds busy with rendering/harassing/deporting cab drivers, academics, doctors, engineers, and philanthropist of the muslim extraction (the kind you vile) have provided the opportunity for the mob to make the comeback, after a minor setback in the late 90's...
Mafia will never be dead and likewise the biggest crime syndicate in South Asia/M.E. MQM will never go away...
