No ... I was bought up in a part of the world where the fairytale was atheism ... but I'm no Atheist.
Same here.

When I was a little boy of 7 years old, at home my mother was making me recite the Quran in arabic, a language that I didn't understand at all, meaning I didn't understand a single word of the Quran I was reading.
At the same time, at school they were making us read the Bible in English, a language that I understood fully.
I still grew up Muslim.
You grew up? I will like to debate that :p
Extremely thankful I am muslim, I have lived among Muslims, Jews, Christians, Atheists, Satan worshipers (yes it is true), Buddhists, Hindus. My upbringing simply resulted in following what others were doing around me, it takes time to realize this. A simply yes or no is not realistic because it is hypothetical and people can never answer this even if they think they know the answer.

It is extremely hard to reply to hypothetical questions related to one's faith, where, more often than not, the answers reflect the state of being (inner strength) one is in at that frame of time.
I would like to believe that I'd "choose" to be a Muslim, no matter where I was born. There was a time, quite early in my life, when I wanted to make sure that the religion I am following 1) makes complete sense to me, and 2) its not something I practice because of my folks.
Though this incident may seen not substantial enough to base my answer on, but there is definitely no other evidence otherwise, hence making me believe that I'd never choose to be anything else.

Re: so tell me honestly...
To be honest, unless i was born into some pagan religion, i could have been anything. This is true of majority of people around the world.
And its not just being born into a hindu/muslim/christain family, rather the whole environment around people.
