Nice saree Reha
Re: So People, What Are You Wearing?
I lovvvvvvvvvvvvve sarees...just hate it when they're not belted. After discovering the belted sari...I am not adding it to all of mine.
Re: So People, What Are You Wearing?
I have never worn a belted saree.. does it fit properly? Like does it fall properly on all the right places? Does it matter if you gain or loose weight?
Re: So People, What Are You Wearing?
Xtron you dress very elegantly.

It is better if you need to get ready quickly. As far as fall is concerned if its stitched properly, it looks good. There is a slight margin in a stitched saree for size.

The one in my picture is belted. It fits like a dream because the chunnat is sewn in so no fuss there but the other thing is the belt has several loops/hooks in it that allow for weight loss or gain. If its not there you can always the tailor put them in.
Re: So People, What Are You Wearing?
Thank you!
I have another question… How do you guys hide your abdomen in the saree? ALl the sarees sold here have tiny tiny blouses…. Plus it is so hard to find similar fabric to get another one stitched that would be longer and modest.

Are you talking about unstitched sarees? They have the blouse fabric attached to the saree generally, no? So you can tell the tailor to make the blouse a bit longer. Purchase one with the bigger width may be, so the belt is a bit higher than it is supposed to be. That should cover up the difference.

I usually get mine made from a tailor here. The other thing I have done is made plain blouses...black, gold, etc that can be work with any sari. I hide my abdomen by pinning everything into place...its a must!
Re: So People, What Are You Wearing?
No.. all the sarees I have seen here have very pretty blouses but they are already stitched.. They are soo gorgeous but super short. ![]()
I hate wearing saree all the way unto my ribs.. it feels a bit strange.
The ones sold here that have separate blouse fabric are so ugly and old style.
I can never find the color and matching fabric to make the blouse. Plus the tailors are so expensive here!!
Like this is a sari that I adore but hubby doesn’t like the sleeves (they are too short).

Also, is there a way to make the blouse loose yet make it look presentable?
Like all the blouses always fit so snuggly… and hubby hates that!!!
I am sorry about asking so many questions but I really love sarees and used to be so comfortable in them (without belt and even short sleeves) but now hubby has a problem so I am more selfconscious.
Re: So People, What Are You Wearing?
That is a pretty sari! The blouse starts to look strange if its loose. The blouse I am wearing in the orange sari was loose and I didn’t like the way it felt. I suggest, solid, fitted blouses that are a bit longer. Just make sure your sari is opaque and pinned in all the right places so no one can tell. I heart saris too ![]()
