I think govt really has not credibility, nor should it be expected to conduct fair investigation. They already changed the story 3 times, and the latest one about her hitting her head on sunroof is the least believable one.

That's quite true, and the govt says a high level investigation headed by a High Court judge is being set-up to look into all that. But the doctors have basically confirmed what the Interior Ministry said earlier.

A thorough investigations should be done. Rumors need to stop as it does not help anyone except conspiracy theorists.
Why was the Postmortem not carried out? Should the body be exhumed and a posmportem done to end all speculations and rumours?

Seems like that the doctor has somewhat changed his initial statement.
I think both those statements by the doctor are quite similar. In neither statemet does he mention BB being hit by a bullet or shrapnel. People said Dr Musaddiq Hussain is an honourable person, so I don't think he would actually lie for anyone. He examined the body closely along with all the other dcotors, and his testimony above others is the most crucial.

There WERE indeed bullet wounds to Benazir’s head when Sherry and others bathed her body before burial and I don’t believe for a moment that Sherry is lying. see my other thread…

Yup, and that has happened in other parts of the world as well.
Anyhow, if the govt wanted to cover-up her injuries they would have delayed releasing her body, which they did not. In fact they released it in record time, and allowed her friends, family and many others take it down to Sindh.
Now it was Zardari that disallowed the authorities from carrying out an autposy on her body, so again the govt can't be blamed. If the govt ask for exhume her body to carry an autopsy, will he allow it?

It wasnt carried out because Zardari wouldn't allow it..the question is will he still not allow it now ?

Aasli, either you watch more assassinations to happen in Pak's history or you stand up against your own agancies to make them radical free!!! Enough of those Taliban elements, we need to cut them out of our PA and ISI. This is not the first planned killing by those. You might tolerate this WE won't.

body should be exhumed by her family and party and an unbiased post mortem with several internal and external experts present, all details need to be made public. The truth needs to be established.
