It appears the Asif Zardari specifically requested the government not to carry out an autposy on the body. Of course in our Muslim culture we don't prefer autopsies, so that is understandable. Now that the authorities and doctors who treated BB are stating the same thing i.e. about it not being a bullet or shrapnel, those others who saw her body (family, friends etc) now need to confirm or deny that as well.
I understand that. But the sad events of yesterday have taken a significant turn with all the rumor mongering. Something needs to be done to once-and-for-all stop the rumors and speculations.
A thorough investigations should be done. Rumors need to stop as it does not help anyone except conspiracy theorists. The question remains - would the body be exhumed to allow a thorough investigation to stop the rumor mongering and speculation, which is not helping any one?

i hope so and pray, that the women who bathed her, do speak up. it is a national tragedy of none before. everyone knows that, this was a premature death, an abnoxious scheme, a vicious plan to kill her. it does not matter what she has or has not done in her past position as PM, of Pakistan. ** **her justice is awaiting. and we as Muslims know, that Allah swt will do the justice, indeed. and a huge part of that justice is, what we all owe her as a leader, at least be able to identify accurately, who her killers are and then severely punish them.
Well said. I am sure that family members and those who accompanied her body from Pindi to Larkana will come forward and give their versions as well. They can help in bringing calm to the nation. Otherwise party political workers or opinion formers with their own axes to grind will continue to spread conspiracy theories to further their own ambitions.

The government says a high level inquiry will be carried out headed by a High Court Judge. Though, I doubt Zardari will allow the Benazir's body to be exhumed, and an autopsy be carried out, after refusing it when she was in hospital.

Secondly, what was the source of information used by the interior ministry when they issued that gunshot statement on thursaday after Benazir was pronounced dead?

I definitely think that BB put herself at a LOT of risk, especially in the post-Karachi suicide bomb scenario. She should have been ultra cautious, but she didnt care at all.

this is soooo friggin comical! I mean i'm proud they're that good that can know each word/sentence that was said....word per word. then why the **** don't they arrest the people responsible using their assets that gives them the entire speech and such of who said what to who....

You see the problem is that Immy and his group of jihadis and jihadi lovers have guns, bombs and men to use them. It would be nice if we could gather all those people in one area and bomb them, but it's not so easy when they are mixed in the population and have additional sympathizers in the country.

So how is it that Cheema has a trascript of the conversation that took place between Mehsud and a Molvi Saab following the assassination of Ms. Bhutto.
And he read it as if he was there hearing the conversation..... Mehsud said this...Molvi said this, etc..etc.....
YET.......
