Because my mind is programmed to work a certain way. I’d simply have two choices, spit on it or buy it. In simpler terms and retrospectively speaking, I’d much rather choose the former (trust) than the latter (not to trust).

Former = spit on it = trust??

Latter = buy it = not to trust?

Dude, if your trusting something means you spit on it, then I hope you don’t have many trustworthy causes around you
