You guys do have a point however as murgi mentioned it shld go away in couple of days but it doesnt. What if this attitude costs him his job or another relationship (parents, sibblings, wife/fiance)

That means that he has a bigger problem than smoking habit. He has smoking addiction and he needs help and therapy.
