Re: Slumber parties
My parents never allowed me to sleepover EXCEPT with close cousins OR the daughters of very close family friends that had become a second family when they all met in the US in the 70s. Other than that, I was not allowed to sleep over. My parents would let me go to the party and would come to pick me up, and let it be late at times so I could still enjoy myself.
I did not have sleepover parties either (except with the above-mentioned people). Until I finished the Quran and was allowed to have a party.
Anyway, most of the slumber parties my friends invited me to were not really corrupting at all. But what I hear nowadays really troubles me. I don't think I'll allow my kids to sleepover, unless I know the family and other attendees very well.
