i was in Med School and i used to cut classes [as they say in India/Pak] on a Daily basis and hence, at the end of the academic year, i could ONLY ring in 35% of the attendance while 75% was minimum…as a result, i was kicked out of the Med School… 
i was reprimanded, yelled at and humiliated by close as well as distant relatives…OMG! that was the LOWEST point in my life…felt like committing suicide.
i LEARNED my lesson the HARDEST possible way and then i mended my ways. that incident was a like a teacher to me. i’m where i am NOW is the direct consequence of that event.
