Waleeja, dandruff is a cause as well..u must treat u're dandruff by using a shampoo Nizorol is GREAT for dandruff. In my first post i've given do's and don't for acne prone skin. I'd suggest u see u're derm and have them prescribe u antibiotics to treat u're acne completely...
There's no use of treating marks and scars using topical remedies and gels..when u're acne is still active a re-occuring.. u'll still be getting scars and at the end u're skin will be uneven.
Cure u're acne first..it could be solved by antibiotics or topical creams, but a derm has to assess u're skin and prescribe u medication. The scars can be worked on later.
Nancy, if u have large/open pores skip the steam step..continue with the rest.
guys acne can be cured through your diet....read clear skin by karen jessett or dr fuhrs book eat to live....

U can run the watermelon directly onto u're skin.. it's great for acne prone skin.
U can extract the juice and add to it 1 tablespoon of milk powder and 1/2 tsp of gram flour and use it as a deep cleansing mask.

i know this girl who had a bad case of acne n she just included alot of kharbuza in her diet n applied kharbuza as a mask n her skin cleared out…does it really work or she lied…u know sum ppl

hey gina,since im outside daily in the afternoons,some reddish allergy kind of irritation around my nose i guess its due to sweating coz wen i come back home by nite it gradually starts going down...any suggestions for curing this?
Rosewater is best ND, keep it in a spray bottle and put it in the fridge.. if it's really bad apply Calamine lotion and wash it off after 15 mins.

Here is my question, I just bought the shisiedo cleansing gel and I have noticed that it makes my skin feel cleaner and more taut. Before I shell out a few hundred dirhams I was wondering are the supermarket brands as good as the higher end ones.
I am in my late 20's and suddenly the pores are more visible, the lines seem to be appearing out of nowhere I would like to delay these skin issues as much as possible.

Gina need ya help, I have really sensitive skin. At the moment I am getting laser done on my face. Therefor I have to use a razor blade for my skin which has made my skin really rough an dry an am breaking out alot on my t-zone area plus neck :(
what do u suggest?

CE- The clinic should have given you an aloe vera gel. Try and use a light moisturiser; non-fragranced and non-alcoholic ideally.
Laser can cause you to break out. Keep your skin well moisturised. Use the sunscreen like they recommend and the aloe vera gel to soothe.
DDR, it's cuz of the razor blade.. which also removes the top layer of the skin and causes irritation. Aloe vera gel is fantastic to soothe any redness but it's not nourishing or moisturizing..
CE, tea tree oil is also effective and safe to use on any new acne site and even if u're having laser done.

Dildirani, I wear suncream all the time, but still same rough dry feeling:(.... I havent tried out the aloe vera though will try it out
This question has probably been asked a 101 times in this thread already, but how do u get rid of blemishes?
hmm I have used tea tree oil in the past an it did work really well for my skin…will try it out an see how it works on my rough skin

CE - witch hazel is probably better to use than tea tree oil if you're having laser, to help your skin heal. you can buy witch doctor skin treatment gel.
Aloe vera is a great aqueous moisturiser. you can buy 99.9% pure aloe gel from holland and barratt. use it twice a day.

yea you should be able to (for the witch doctor). i've been looking for a while though and it's always sold out to the stores i go to lol. empty shelf space makes me :(
and i just remembered that the H&B aloe gel has a slight smell that is not very plesant, it's fine for use on the body but you might not like it on your face. for my face i use Sterex Aloe Vera gel.. the green one. you can buy it from most beautician salon's and online. where i go for electro sells it too.
