Hello Gina,
Welldone on such an informative and detailed thread, your advice is greatly appreciated!
I have question regarding fine lines (smile lines)
I am 23 years of age, and have had an on-going weight problem (due to PCOS), and so stupidly I went through various stages of crash dieting, which has left my skin gaunt, sunken and lifeless. I have lost a tremendous amount of weight around the face, and unfortunately gained fine creases around my lips when I smile.
I have a good skin routine, which is as follows: -
Plenty of water (6-7 glasses daily)
Good moisturiser (Origin's product)
Good exfoliation process.
and more recently, I have been using vaseline around the lips to keep the area moist, as my skin is naturally very dry!
What options do I have to decrease the fine lines? Its really worrying me, as surely I shouldn't have them at my age!!! I am inshallah, getting married this time next year and would like to do something about this as soon as.
I have read up about chemical peels, and so forth, but wasn't sure whether that would improve the fine lines??
(Just to add, my dietary intake has resumed back to normal as of 2 months, so I'm hoping the extra weight gain should help minimise the lines! Though sods law, it will probs go everywhere but my face!)
Any advice would be great?
x
Chemical peels would help but u'd prolly need a couple of sessions and the procedure is uncomfy and healing takes time as well. Egg whites are known to firm-up the skin.. use products that contain collagen. This will repair any damaged skin cells..vitamin E is great, use it to massage u're laugh-lines..always upwards and outwards.
Firming masks are great too, fullers-earth and rosewater (makes a great foriming mask)
