I met a guy yesterday and he said that the world has been getting warmer for last few thousands of years and will continue to do so....It's got nothing to do with global warming, scientist are just trying to get funding by alarming the public....I am no expert but he said that he studied gealogy.

Even if you are correct about sea levels rising I doubt the governments would let some of the most valuable real estate in the world sink into water.

5abi....I would love to retire back there but I no longer have any family connections there

I remember during the last heatwave (2003) I'd walk around the house in wet clothes in order to stay cool!

I saw this documentary on Discovery just two days ago “Global Warming: What you need to know” with Tom Brokaw. It showed that according to all the computer models all over the world (US, Aus, Europe etc), in the next 50-100 years, major part of London and cities on the Atlantic coast of US like NYC wil be under 20-30 ft of water because of global warming. And countries like Bangladesh will be entirely under ocean.

I was on the Tube today during the rush hour and it was so damn disgusting....ppl were sweating everywhere and all u cud smell was gross BO-eughhhhhhhh!

The Tube has always been a problem, the humidity is just awful You literally sweat within 20 seconds once the doors close. Thats during the 5pm rush hour but the mornings tend to be ok as people are fresh and the temp is still bearable. The London Underground makes millions out of passengers but can’t even provide decent air conditioning

But people are to blame too. I mean, at least carry some deodorant or vapouriser with you and spray it on when leaving work, rather than suffocating everyone with your stench during rushhour. Even in the morning there was some guy sitting next to me who stunk like a dead rat.

Personal hygeine goes a long way.

But your Subway stations stink. Dang, they are so hot and humid. I was at grand central station, sub-third floor, a couple of weeks back and I was sweating from even palms.

Yep no air con cos the whole system is so damn prehistoric…

I was at a wedding last night and it was crazily hot in the hall and it had NO air con:mad: …couldnt eat anything and felt so uncomfortable in my Sari:bummer:
It was really awful…i felt so sorry for the dulhan cos she must have been melting. But then i got really mad cos when i got married, the hotel where i had my wedding reception had full air con but most places dont and i think if ur gonna have ur shaadi in the height of summer then at least chose a location that has flippen AC instead of trying to kill off ur guests:naraz:

Yeah the stations DO stink, but the cars are much much better

This country is never equipped 2 be able 2 handle nything, i remember hearing on the news if the heat gets any worse there could be blackouts!!
The trains had 2 drive at a slower speed due to fear of the tracks buckling under the heat.
What about in the winters whenever we have had snow the country can not cope.!!
