There is such a thing and at the same time you are right sizes must have their limits as well. Next please?
good point but still what is a free size... isn't it just a XL ? same as one size fits all ?
My body is slim/normal so I don't care about fitting into smaller clothes.
BTW, is size 8-10 a plus size? I recently ordered a few shirts from online and the site said "8-10" is smallest and it was supposed to fit me according to their size chart but when I recieved the shirts I found out it is XXL(according to US standard size chart)....:--/

Yeshh, still infatuated with X ratings? :p
14 and above is considered "plus size" in North America.
Anyway, as Suroor said, over here (at least in Ontario) it varies from store to store. In some stores, I can fit into a 9 ... in other stores, it would be a 10 .... and in some stores, not even an extra large will fit :D .

Ever participated in a marathon/walkathon? You know those huge shirts they give you that don't fit any normal human being....Yeah, those are free sized shirts. :-)

I don't know why but I always buy clothes a size larger than mine :( I have this fear that when I wake up in the morning, I won't fit into my usual size so I always go for a size above! it is so sad!
*MUT POOCHO *
I have always been size concious. Women should be fit. Unfit women are unfit. unhay fit hona chahiye, toh phir I will not be size concious.
In the UK the smallest size any normal human being fits into is a 6< and that at a push, the majority of the female population lie between sizes 8 and 18. 18 being the off the chart big and 8 being extra small. The majority of British women fit into a size 12-14, where as the desans fit into a 8-10-12. Thats just becasue of the different body shapes etc.
Now in the US I can understand what currupt angel says. You poeple are generally.....horizontally challenged. So our size 8 will indeed be your XXS.
^ hey hiccup, yeah i totally get that. I think our aussie sizes are the same as ur UK sizes.. (i so wish i could hear ur english accent.. thats soo off topic)
i thought UK girls were tiny, I met a few of them and i felt obese! but then again, these girls have it in their family. Over here, ive seen girls get into size 6 and even thats too big. Gross!
Ladies, need I remind you ...it is about proportion.
^ Matty, females can be a size 14+ and still be fit..
ive seen girls at my gym who are bigger than me in size but are way more fitter ![]()
m so glad we dont hav to worry about the sizes n stuff.. its either u buy them off from sum lash push boutiqe n give it to your tailor for amendments.. or just buy the material n give it straight to tailor for wutever u want.. no head ache.. ! :D
^ but in lahore there a sizes no? i went there and they were S-M-L sizes
but the sizes are all screwed there.. they have no set standards
yeah there are Small, Medium and Large but there r so off the actual size that usually they need amendments in any case... no fittings, no cuts... nuthing!!! Even for that, there r no fixed standards ...

ok.. this is a funny dilemma (well not a dilemma)
when shopping for clothes, do u worry about the size (8,10,12,14 etc) that you wear, as in do u try to fit into the smallest possible u can breathe in and tell people "oh my, i wear bla bla size" or do u buy clothes that compliment your body, not worrying bout how "big" it may be to some other person?

both...
