Salim Nasir aka the god of Pak drama. There's no one like him. Comedy - ever so subtle. Serious - I cried with him. What a gem of an actor.
Sikander Shaheen - he played Haider Ali in Tipu Sultan and I don't think the real Haider Ali was as magnificent and kingly as was Sikander sahib's Haider Ali. Seen some more of his plays including Patjhar. Brilliant, brilliant actor.
Shoaib Mansoor - the man behind Vital Signs, Ankhai, Gulls and Guys, the "Tere Ishq" video, Alpha Bravo Charlie, etc etc. The single most creative mind in all of the Indo-Pak subcontinent. I want to be taken into Shoaib sahib's mureedy.
I'd give anything to have five minutes with any of the above three.

No PP I saw it on video. 4 tapes and i think around 4-5 episodes per tape. A must see. Some of you might come back saying hawww...kitni behayaai ho gai hei Pakistan mein, ye pakistani drama thaa and all, cos towards the end they show Amna Haq as an expectant mother and she walks holding her tummy and all, but it is really worth watching. Has its flaws too but still good.
Why are you bringing Shoaib Mansoor?. He is behind the scenes guy. Yeah, he is creative but still he copied 50/50 from Saturday Night Live.
Salim Nasir was a great actor but thats about it.

Asif Raza Mir, Shakeel and Qavi Khan did same kind of roles over and over again. This is not to undermine their talents but that's what was asked of them by PTV. Only Qavi Khan has started doing different stuff lately.
Abid Ali is a great actor. If I was to pick one, it would be him.
ANd to me the most original and creative person in PTV is Anwar Maqsood. All his work is very original and core Pakistani.

I remember Salim Nasir Marhoom more for his brilliant acting in AAngun Tairha with Shakeel. That is an all time classic PTV production.
Salim Nasir was the Mamu in Ankahi. Did you see it? if you haven’t, you are not a Pakistani.
Tauqir Nasir is the guy with the moustache who always plays a good hearted chauhdry/badmaash. He used to be very good but too much of the same has killed off the artist in him. I’ve seen many of his dramas - can’t recall a single name except for the last one Landa Bazaar. I gotta run - about to puke.

true, Shoaib Mansoor doesn't belong in there perhaps. just brought him in 'cause he's one hell of a talented person. I think Anwar Maqsood is losing it. he is exceptionally gifted but his recent work was not upto his standards.
I refuse to compromise on Salim Nasir. he was something else.
Sikander Shaheen (I think he is also marhoom now) is an actor at the same level at Abid Ali (imo, Sikander was much better).
Asif Raza has stopped acting, hasnt' he? last I heard he moved to Calgary and opened some dollar store franchise. I know Qavi repeats himself a lot. Shakeel used to do different work I thought.

Shafi and Jamshed Ansari are horribly repetitive. They can only do one thing though they do it very well.
For Shakeel's work, watch Colony 52. His role was different and he played it to perfection. I rank him very, very highly. One of the all-time greats for me.
