As for as i know he was not a sufi. I am not saying so because he didnt wrote poetry but because what he wrote. If you read out kashaf ul mahjoob and tell people without telling them that it is written by Ali hajvery, people will consider you a wahabi. He condemned those who claimed to be the champion of tassauwaf and m’arfat. He said these people know nothing. He also condemned those who condemned sharia or asked people leave sharia for tareeqat.
